In 2005 Het Vlock Casteel took the next logical step and began to produce a range of their own wines -a Merlot, a Shiraz and a Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines had a character all their own and with subtle plays of vanilla, berries and oak, it was no surprise that they soon started to win a number of awards. In 2006, following on the success, a Sauvignon Blanc was added. These wines are a delicious and a highly recommended purchase In the valley.

Merlot 2007

This wine will inspire you with its intense dark red colour. Full-bodied, appealing mint, dark chocolate and subtle vanilla aromas on the nose and taste. Soft velvety tannins will linger in your mouth.

Shiraz 2007

Deep purplish red colour, some warm spice of oak, black fruit from the grapes, It has a lingering aftertaste that will prickle your taste buds for some time.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Mysteriously dark red colour, black currants and subtle eucalyptus on the nose, ripe red berries with soft tannins on the after taste. This is a big one.

Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Spicy mint, asparagus and green fig on the nose with undertones of tropical fruit. Beautiful structure with a long succulent finish.
