Het Vlock Casteel lends itself ideally to a variety of functions and has three venues in the impressive castle-like building inspired by the Cape Town Castle .
Upstairs on the terrace, is the restaurant Café Merlot which seats up to 40 people and can be booked for private functions. This is an intimate space with a wonderful old world charm. There is also a big screen TV which can be used for slide show presentations during functions. |

Downstairs is the large function hall, Alphonse Lavalleé, which seats up to 300 people. With high ceilings and large wrought iron chandeliers, a wonderful feature of the room is the impressive old-style castle double doors which open out into the vineyards.
This is the ideal location for a fairytale wedding. A setting to fill every bride's heart with joy. The old style romanticism of the castle itself, reminiscent of the Medieval constructions of early Europe , combined with the beauty of the wooden fixtures is off-set perfectly by the tranquility of the surrounding vineyards and the stunning views across the valley from the upstairs terrace. A unique and magical location for any wedding.
Near the front entrance is a smaller room, the Laubscher Room, which is usually used for conferences and meetings and can seat between 40 to 70 people depending on seating arrangements.

Catering can be handled on-site by Anne-Mart Vlok through Café Merlot. She is also an accomplished event planner and can handle décor and floral arrangements for any function.
